Changes afoot at Lennons
Andy Coyle has confirmed his intention to retire from his roles as Managing Director and Head of Commercial Property at Lennons Solicitors as of 1 July 2021.
Andy has been with Lennons “man and boy”. Having first worked for the firm as a vacation student in 1986 and 1987, Andy became the firm’s first trainee solicitor (then known as an articled clerk) in 1988, and has worked for the firm ever since. Made a partner in 1991, Andy ran the firm with the late Alan Lennon for 20 years, until Alan’s passing in 2011. Having converted from a traditional partnership model to a limited company, Andy was sole owner for a further 5 years before Andrew King acquired a 50% interest in the business in 2016.
Following his retirement, Andy will remain as a shareholder in Lennons Solicitors, and will also be appointed as a non-executive director.
Andrew King will be appointed as the company’s Managing Director from 1st July. Andrew comments “Lennons Solicitors epitomises Andy’s values of loyalty, commitment and respect. As we have grown the business over the past 5 years we have remained true to those values, and that will continue as we herald in a new era. I am honoured to be taking on the role of Managing Director, and I am excited by the challenge ahead. While Andy leaves Lennons as a full time member of the team, I am delighted to retain his continued involvement at board level, and his general support as a co-shareholder.”
All at Lennons wish Andy a long and fulfilling retirement, and look forward to continuing to serve our clients and our community as he has for the past 30 years.
