Amersham Auction Rooms hosts… QUIZ NIGHT!
Earlier this week, we attended a fun-filled quiz night which was organised and hosted by Amersham Auction Rooms. Lennons entered two teams which were captained by Katrina Caraska and Leah Waller:
Team ‘Going Once, Going Twice’: Jenny Russell, Karen Quilter, Georgina Went, Katrina Caraska and John Churchill.
Team ‘ExQUIZite Ballerina’: Hana Kmotrasova, Pauline Underhill, Leah Waller, Carol Popple, Joanna Nutchey and Abeer Sharma.
Naturally, there was some internal competition between the teams during the lead up to the event with secret team name and quiz night tactics being discussed but there was no love lost!
The quiz consisted of 4 rounds of 10 questions:
1. Picture Round
2. General Knowledge
3. ‘Beat the Intro’
4. ‘Killer Round’
The picture round – sounds easy right? WRONG! Turns out that dated photos of celebrities isn’t our forte at Lennons Solicitors.
During the ‘killer round’, if you had one incorrect answer, you would lose every point gained for the questions which were answered correctly within that round. With one incorrect answer, our team ‘ExQUIZite Ballerina’ fell from runners-up to 4th place – This was definitely still a sore subject the next day. Devastating! Team ‘Going Once, Going Twice’ also managed to finish in the top 10 teams of quizzers (JUST!) by finishing 9th.
Amersham Auction Rooms managed to supply superb hospitality and entertainment to around 90-100 quizzers, making up around 14 teams overall at the event and were joined by local businesses and networking organisations such as Clarks of Amersham, BP Collins LLP, Chiltern Chamber, Brown & Merry Estate Agents and many more.
Our teams may not have walked away with a prize on the night but we all thoroughly enjoyed the event with the majority already looking forward to next year!
Congratulations to the quiz night winners, BP Collins LLP, who dethroned 1st time winners, Blaser Mills LLP as well as the winners of the ‘Best Team Name’ which went to a team named ‘Quiz On My Face’.
Lennons would like to thank Auctioneer/ Valuer (and possible comedian), Barrie Twyman of Amersham Auction Rooms, for organising and hosting the event as well as the rest of the AAR team for ensuring the night was a success.
We look forward to receiving our invitation next year!
