Probate and Estate Administration
In the sad event of a death, someone has the responsibility of dealing with the assets and liabilities of the person who has passed away. Very often it falls to those who were closest, and who are grieving the most. Our experienced and sympathetic team can support you through a difficult time. Lennons’ probate solicitors can help.
If there’s a will, the people named as executors might need a grant of probate to enable them to deal with the assets of the person who’s passed away. If there’s no will, the next of kin may instead have to apply for letters of administration, and need advice on who is entitled to receive the assets.
We deal with all aspects of estate administration in a way that’s sensitive, but proactive and efficient too. This can include preparing and submitting tax returns to HMRC, applying to the court to obtain probate or letters of administration, collecting assets, and paying tax and other bills. We’ll be glad to help you as little or as much as you need.
