Paralegal/Legal Assistant – Litigation & Employment Departments
We are seeking a dedicated Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our Litigation and Employment departments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in these dynamic areas of law, working alongside experienced lawyers in a supportive environment.
Role Overview
This hybrid role involves providing comprehensive support across both our Litigation and Employment departments, assisting with case management and client service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting fee earners with case management from inception to conclusion
- Preparing draft correspondence and legal documents
- Managing new client enquiries and compliance matters
- Maintaining case files and documentation.
- Assisting with court bundle preparation and pagination
- Supporting client meetings and taking attendance notes
- Conducting legal research under supervision
- Helping with business development activities
- Using our case management system (LEAP)
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in Litigation and/or Employment law preferred, though we welcome candidates with a strong desire to work in these areas
- Understanding of legal procedures in general litigation and employment matters
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of court procedures and deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of confidentiality and professional conduct requirements
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
