Personal Injury & Medical Negligence
Andrew King, Director
Head of our Personal Injury & Medical Negligence Department and squash challenger.
The perception has grown that we now have a compensation culture. Unsolicited phone calls and TV ads asking if you’ve had an accident in the last three years have no doubt helped to create it. But every day, people suffer injuries through no fault of their own. Sometimes they’re life-changing. Occasionally they’re life-ending.
We think the ‘compensation culture’ is a myth. Probably every one of the personal injury clients we’ve acted for in the last five years would have preferred not to have suffered injury than to receive damages. If an innocent person suffers injury through someone else’s fault, they should receive damages to put them in the position they would have been in without the injury – and to protect them and their families in the future.
Our specialist personal injury solicitors can help with personal injury claims for road traffic accidents (including collisions involving cyclists and pedestrians), accidents at work, and accidents on someone else’s land or public property. All the processes will be explained to you fully, you will be kept up-to-date and we will progress your case diligently to maximise your recovery of damages. We will also help arrange the necessary medical care that you might need to help get you back on track quicker.
We’re prepared to assess every claim without charge, and in almost all cases, we’ll agree to act on a no win, no fee basis.
Our personal injury team were recommended in the 2020 edition of the highly respected legal directory, The Legal 500. The “excellent” team received praise for their “very efficient and client-focused service on a range of matters”.
Outside of Work
When I’m not spending time with my four young sons, you’ll often find me at Tring Squash Club. Whether I’m helping a client with a claim or stepping onto the squash court, it’s all about complete concentration. I love being constantly tested. I like the feeling of being in control too… completely responsible for my own performance. To win at squash – and to win for my clients – I know I have to be right on top of my game. Total focus. No distractions. I always relish a new challenge.
